Watched last night. It was so adult for its time. I think the only other toon that was so aimed at kids and adults back then was Bullwinkle.

I get equal enjoyment watching it at 45 as I did at 5.

I like the more cynical approach in the GP. The "Linus and Lucy" song stands out much more in the GP.

"I got a rock."

"Dog germs! Blech! Ech!"

"I can't stand it--my own dog, gone commercial." Back in 1965, you didn't know the half of it, Charlie-boy!

Christmas by a hair, but I love 'em both.

I missed the Christmas Special this year. I make my wife watch it usually, because she claims she never watched them as a kid.

Cable company killed both my internet, and the only channel carrying the Christmas show. And there was absolutely nothing else on last night.

Christmas I guess, but there are parts of Halloween I like better.

Although there's a couple of other Peanuts cartoons I saw as a kid I liked then too :)

Christmas special is the best! I watched it last night. I am surprised that they showed it so early in the season. It's still November!

They'll show it again right before Christmas. They've been doing it that way for the past couple of years. :)

Two tough choices, I like both of them. I'm more partial to the Great Pumpkin, but the poor little tree in the Christmas Special is nice too.

This was wrong on a fundamental level:

:ohno:

First the Grinch and now the Charlie Brown Christmas. Both stories gutted! Commercialism wins out in the long run.

Thanks, Chris! That's a really hot edit. Great song, too.

That scene is my favorite from the Christmas special. The Vince Guaraldi ditty is one of my favorites, and I can listen to it over and over.

Christmas, although the Halloween one is second only to it.

After those two winners, the Peanuts specials alternated between pretty good ones, rather uneven ones, and some that were just plain awful.

I really like the feature films. A Boy Named Charlie Brown and Snoopy, Come Home are stellar.
