The Human League are plotting a new album, even though they have no idea how they will release it.
The electro-pop band have been in the studio working on their first new material since 2001's 'Secrets' LP.
They told BBC 6Music that in the absence of a record deal, they are having to think of new ways to get the music out there.
Singer Joanne Catherall said: "We've always been supported by record companies and that's not really happening to as many groups anymore. We'll have to find another way of getting it out to the public.
"We're all keen to put out new music, our only problem is, the way we have traditionally put out music is not available to us anymore.
"It's quite scary having to think about it, because someone else has sort of run things, we make the records, and someone else does everything else for us, and now we've got to do it all ourselves, and as everyone knows we're incredibly slow, and lazy!"

News came today of THE HUMAN LEAGUE's first album in over nine years as it was being mastered at The Exchange in London by Mike Marsh.
Marsh's previous credits have included DEPECHE MODE and THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS but also THE HUMAN LEAGUE's last album Secrets in 2001.
The working titles of the album's songs which may be subject to change are:
■Never Let Me Go ■Night People ■Sky ■Got To Do ■Egomaniac ■Single Minded ■Electric Shock ■Get Together ■Privilige ■Breaking The Chains ■Stars Start To Shine
It is believed that Night People is to be the first single. No release date has yet been confirmed by THE HUMAN LEAGUE's label Wall Of Sound Records for the so far untitled album but it will be out in time on to coincide with their forthcoming winter tour.

Pushed back to early next year, though the 1st single "Night People" came out last week. Here's a live clip from You Tube in Berlin last week-I love it! And damn, do the girls (Suzanne and JoAnne) look even better now! Phil looks and sounds great too, but I was more focused on the ladies. This is a really cool tune, albeit a bit repetitive.

Oakey seemed okay here. And yes, Catherall and Sulley look pretty good. I'd have to hear the studio version before deciding to buy this new album. I do like the Human League.
What can I say, my musical tastes grew up circa 1981 and have never changed very much.
The Human League have revealed the tracklisting and title of their new album.
Named 'Credo', the record from the veteran synth-pop band is set to be released in March next year.
The artwork for the album, which has been produced by Sheffield duo i-Monster, is pictured above. Its title is Latin for "statement of belief".
The tracklisting of 'Credo' is:
'Never Let Me Go' 'Night People' 'Sky' 'Into The Night' 'Egomaniac' 'Single Minded' 'Electric Shock' 'Get Together' 'Privilege' 'Breaking The Chains' 'When The Stairs Start To Shine'

Boring song...too much Night People over and over without a big hook. But the video is fun to watch. And I'm definitely not a night people anymore.....I like my sleep.

It is repetitive-but all dance and club music is. That's how you get people shakin' their stuff. I like the song, but the video makes it better. Plus, Classix Noveaux did the Night People thing first!

"Night People" is fine, but it's easily one of the weaker tracks. I'm really surprised at the quality and consistency (never a strong point of most Human League albums) of this one. It's going to be one of my favorites of 2011.
