For any genre (including super-heroes) I'd rather invent my own characters and settings rather than work on someone else's. The one exception is Conan. I love the character and his world. :)

The guys behind Venture Brothers are the Monkey Suit guys that used to put out the Monkeysuit Anthology each year. Awesome, awesome books. It's strange that they haven't done a comic. Maybe after the series is off the air.
