Hmm, reading that article ... would have been cool to have seen him direct one of the prequels ... especially if he tinkered with the script!

So true, Eh? He could not have done worse. Even a great epic contains its flaws, as the avid Buddhist director might contend. It's been a minute since I read up on Irv's work and influence on Empire. It was a Herculean effort. I had the record and book as a child, always loved that story, mood...just terrific work.
(unrelated, but) At least Michael Douglas is looking pretty good now!
