Does Roger Moore play himself in this movie or someone who happens to look like Roger Moore and think he's Roger Moore?

From Wikipedia re. Moore:

Roger Moore playing "heir to the Goldfarb Girdles fortune" Seymour Goldfarb, Jr., who perpetually identifies himself as actor Roger Moore; his character behaves similarly to James Bond and is only once (by his mother) referred to by his real name, making it unclear whether Goldfarb and Moore are the same or if Goldfarb is simply delusional. He drives a silver Aston Martin DB5.

Within the context of the movie was what I was asking.

Well, that is much more fun than how I took it. :)

Someone who thinks he is Roger Moore, or there would have been more corpses in the movie.

Just finished watching this thing. This really is a bizarre movie.

Jackie Chan is great in...is it the second one? Those movies are very much of their time, but the idea is a good one. I'm surprised they haven't remade them.

The comedy level of both Cannonball Run and Smokey & The Bandit is 3 Stooges/Laurel & Hardy level... with some great car chases thrown in. Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr aren't very funny... so I guess you're supposed to just laugh at the fact that they're back together in some capacity. Jackie Chan is in the first Cannonball, yes.

The Adrienne Barbeau team was my favorite...

From what I remember of seeing part of it on TV once, that's a very polite way of putting it.

Personally I'm more interested in the REAL "Cannonball Run".

And that one wasn't half as far-out as this annual event:

From Western Europe to Mongolia, and you have to drive something with no more than 1,200-cc displacement (They make exceptions for ambulances and so forth that are going to be donated to Mongolian users at the end). Talk about an adventure!
