hahah! I hope you are video taping these things. I respect anyone who sits down and writes out the notation for an hour-long score!

That ain't me. :)

I do everything by ear, and give the actors CDs to learn it by ear.

But it is more than an hour's worth of music, if that helps. :)

So do I. I live for the day when we have our first dress rehearsal.

No.

Actually, I saw this in a comic-book store and thought it had a nice ring to it:

hahah, I don't have the patience for that shit, either. I have other things I need to get better doing and never get into it. Still pretty damn impressive!

OH, the IMWAN answer...

"oh, then forget it, then. Your mediocrity reaffirms my sad window into the human plight."

I need to teach myself how to use Finale or some other notation software, because it's a frustrating way to try and teach songs to people. I thought it would be easier, but everyone's always, "Ach, I need sheet music!" Whiny bitches.

If you would pick your least favorite bit that's being lost in communication and zip a recording of it to me, Doot, I will transcribe it by hand, as a trial run. I get practice, you get a piece of sheet music for a grateful player, at no cost. I have Luck, my guitar, on my side---I don't need no steenking soft wayer.

Sounds great!

One of my little regrets in life is never learning to read music of any kind. (I don't play an instrument, don't harmonize when singing, etc.)

Awesome, Doot!! I know a guy named Paul Fortuna but he's not a time bender, just a guido.

Thanks for the offer, Lue, but at the moment I'm fine. I'm not sure what I would pick at this point, and if it was just one piece for one person, then someone else might get jealous. :)

I may change the title of this piece at some point. I'm not sure it's clicking with me.

Good point. Never been in that position before.

THAT's something you won't always hear me say.

(But if you get stuck in a bind, hit me up. I might even return your call)

I think it should be "Zarod" or "Urek" instead of Fortuna. Maybe it could sound more old-school science-fictiony, somehow. ;)
