Great news for Kate Murtargh fans, but Supertramp fans already have lots of live material from this period. As already noted, though, it's probably hard to get the band together to dig out truly worthy material from the vaults.

Not my favorite Supertramp album (Ven's avatar would be the one), but it's a great one. I'm semi-interested but do I really need the live cuts? Not really, but it's better than nothing. I have a feeling this may be it for Supertramp deluxe editions sadly.

Being a huge Supertramp fan, I'm all over this one, although it's pretty funny seeing "2010 Remaster" when the catalog just got remastered and was also released on SHM. Of particular interest to me though is I've never heard them do a live version of "Child Of Vision" in any incarnation, in person or on cd.

Even though they're my favorite group, I've never been into live bonus material, so I'll probably pass. It'll be interesting to hear how this remastering job comes out, though -- the catalog "upgrade" from a few years ago was a bit of a mixed bag.
As I understand it, there really isn't much in the way of unreleased studio material. With the inclusion of the single-only sides "Land Ho" and "Summer Romance" on Retrospectacle, the only track I know of that hasn't made it to CD is the studio version of "You Started Laughing When I Held You In My Arms."

Just got mine in the mail but be warned - I just saw an ad in a UK music mag (forgot which one) that promises a SUPER Deluxe Edition come December.
I dug around a little and this is what I found (luckily, I'm very content with the regular "Deluxe" edition): We are very excited to confirm the release of the “Breakfast In America” Super Deluxe format.
Although Supertramp’s previous records had popular success, it was BREAKFAST IN AMERICA in 1979 that made them massive global household names, and this release became their biggest selling album with in excess of 18 million copies sold to date worldwide. It became the highest selling album in Australia (and the world) in 1979. Enjoying six weeks atop the Australian albums chart in 1979 – the record has special resonance on our shores.
This Super Deluxe edition of Breakfast In America is an ideal gift for the Supertramp connoisseur. Containing memorabilia, rarely seen photographs and artifacts from their 1979 world tour, it is the biggest and best breakfast yet!

I also have it in the house along with the King Crimson's. Haven't had a chance to listen yet but like the packaging. First I need to watch The Human Centipede (The First Sequence). Oh my!

amazon currently has the Super Deluxe edition listed as a pre-order for the low low price of $177.99. I'm a huge Supertramp fan and even I will say that they must be high.
This record was very commercially successful in the U.S. There are tons of Deluxe Edition series CD's available domestically that are nowhere near as popular as Breakfast In America. Kind of odd.

I feel this remaster is the best one yet. I agree with Ven that the previous remasters "were a mixed bag" but this one is a good one. I did enjoy the Live concert, this band was very tight and well produced act.

They're probably not going to reissue it formally here. UMe has been known to just import the non-US version. I saw it at CD Trader near LA last weekend for close to $30.
I got my copy from Amazon UK for under $20 shipped.
I would have loved that Super Deluxe version, but all I really want it for is the DVD and maybe the book. Not worth an extra $150 to me.
I've only listened to the bonus disc so far, and it's good. Nice live tracks, and definitely not polished up. I'm going to be curious how the album sounds vs. the Mobile Fidelity which has been my go-to CD copy for years.
