This is an odd release. It has 7 live songs and three rerecorded songs. 2 of the 3 original members are dead and the only remaining original member is Andy Newman who played piano but didn't write or sing the songs. There are four new members in addition to Newman. There are no credits as to where the live portion took place except that it was in 2009. It is good hearing the songs again. The big single, Somthing in the Air isn't perfomed live but is rerecorded.

This is absurd. How can you reunite when you were never in the band to begin with? Andy Newman must be very, very broke.

They supposedly played a handful of gigs back in the day.

I never knew Andy Newman tried forming a new version of the group. They're on YouTube.......and sound out of tune.

No interest in this new CD.......but Hollywood Dream is a very good record for those who never heard it..

Very true, a lost classic in my opinion. Jimmy McCulloch was the great shoulda been guitar hero of his time and was just a kid (15?) when they cut this album. Anyone with a taste for British Pop with a rather skewed sensibility needs to hear this one.

They had a short tour when they first started. Is it possible they opened for Blind Faith?

Is the original Thunderclap Newman album available on CD these days? That's one I've always meant to get at some point. As for this new release ... I don't think so.
