All these albums have been unavailable for many years and are much sought-after.
• Dee Dee had a series of huge dance craze hits in the 60’s, including “Slow Twistin’” (with Chubby Checker), “Mashed Potato Time” and “Do The Bird”, before marrying PIR founder Kenneth Gamble in 1967.
• These three albums were issued in 1975, 1977 and 1980. Gamble and PIR co-founder Leon Huff contributed several songs, and many of the arrangements were by PIR heavyweights Dexter Wansel, Jack Faith and Bobby Martin, but there were writing and arranging contributions from many others not part of the regular PIR crowd, including Don Covay, Jerry Butler, Paul Wilson, Michael Burton and Phil Terry.
• There is also a greater variety of covers, including 10cc’s “I’m Not In Love”, Terry Callier’s “What Color Is Love”, England Dan & John Ford Coley’s “Really Love To See You Tonight” and Barry Manilow’s “Tryin’ To Get The Feeling Again”.
• The booklet features full annotation by PIR authority Tony Rounce.
