If you've been a longtime fan as I have, it's a blast.

Thank God!
I thought Marvel bought the rights
and a new comic similar to X-Men forever was destroying the Turtles concept.

Don't know anything about this project, but that would seem to be right up the Turtles' alley. Or sewer, as the case may be.

My favorite part...

"You're April? Do you work at a car wash?"

"What?"

"The yellow jumpsuit..."

"I'M A REPORTER!"

I finally saw this puppy.

Freakin' AWESOME. Best Turtles movie since the first live-action one. Now I must resist the urge to track down the seasons of the last animated show.

That was a truly odd movie. Interesting though. I'm kinda in the mood to read all the old comics. Anyone know if there is a decent collection of the early issues of the series?

This just came out last year and I passed it up -- my mistake. It's already going for big bucks.

Also, the first 12 issues were available online for free for a few years... but looking now, that site's gone too.

Your best bet is the First Collections. I got a bunch of them for between $5 to $10 a piece (there are 4 in total) last year.

Those are the ones I remember reading. Back when the Turtles were everywhere.

Those same books were published by Penguin as well, so look for those if the First collections are too pricey... they're virtually the same books, just with different publishers.

Seriously, it sucks how everything TMNT is so fucking hard to find and expensive these days. I'm glad I got my First/Penguin collections last year, along with TMNT Artobiography (it's now going for $200, more or less... yikes!) and the rest of the Turtles floppies by Eastman/Laird not collected via TPB. Just regret not getting the "Essential" TMNT Collected book, as it was a nice package and had the original black and white stuff.
