I've pretty much given up on Comicspace. It was set up as an easy avenue to post your portfolio or your webcomics. It was also a great way to find fans and creators in your geographic area, or folks that shared your specific interests in art and comics. Now it seems to be another blog site attempting to be Facebook. They were better when they were a simplified version of MySpace (an improved version really, since the format didn't allow you to bling your pages to death).
Deviantart.com is okay, but it's also set up as a blog. Plus I don't like having a portfolio url with the word "deviant" in it.
For now I'm using CarbonMade.com. It's overly simple, and has a hitch or two in the navigation department, but it's clean and easy to use.
If anyone stumbles on a decent (free) portfolio site, please let me know.
For now I'm at
