I've always had a thing for the Crimson Fox character concept, specifically the first version... where she was actually two women (twins) who shared the identity. In my opinion, nobody drew her as well as Bart Sears.

I also liked Magpie. She reminded me of a villain that could have appeared on the old Adam West show... but she existed in the post-Crisis DCU... I also love her dated '80s look.

I liked Chesire until it was revealed she had a child with Roy Harper. Love the new Crimson Avenger.

Roxy Rocket, originally created for the comic book adaption of the Bruce Timm/Paul Dini Batman comic, is another of my faves. I love the fact that this gal could be a good girl, but chooses not to be out of a sheer sense of adventure. It's more fun to be bad!

Love the new Crimson Avenger. Interesting! I didn't know the Crimson Avenger had a female successor.

I liked Crimson Fox as well, because the twin thing made her unique. Of course DC knocked off one of the twins pretty quickly which made her more generic and forgettable.
I am a big Fan of Halo and Katana from The Outsiders - I am always surprised that DC doesn't give them a bigger push considering they are just what the company needs more of - Female characters with cool looks, names and abilities who aren't just another version of a pre-existing male character.

How did that cover of Inferior Five #10 get published? That's bold! I remember JLA #103 with the Rutland Halloween Parade and thinking DC might have pulled one over on Marvel, but I figured they got away with it because the "familiar characters" only appeared within the story & not on the cover. Was there any problem with Marvel when this issue of I5 came out? (That's a particularly unflattering pose for Spidey... ) Keeping the main thread going, I always liked the original Insect Queen (Lana Lang). Jim

I'm guessing that so few people actually read those Inferior Five comics that it didn't matter. I can't be the only one who remembers them - I got those covers from the GCD - but I don't think they've ever actually attained "fan favourite" status.

The lesser female characters I like are actually pretty well known now. I was going to say Arisia and Jade.

The issue you mention was even part of an unofficial crossover that ran in Amazing Adventures, JLofA and The Mighty Thor.
