The first time I experienced Spider-Man, it was on the Electric Company tv show (which wasn't really "experiencing Spider-Man" per se). However, when my mom got me some of the Power Records comics-with-records, this story was one of them. It's funny, because for many years, I assumed that Draco, King of the Dragon-Men was a major Spidey villain... but I think this was his only appearance.

The Video Comics show on Nickelodeon in the 80's was very much like these Youtube movies.

My introduction to both the Abomination and the Rhino was also from the Power Records comics...

Doesnt seem to be any more of these on Youtube at the moment (at least not superhero ones).

Y'know, the "omniscient narrator" was pretty much abandoned when comics tried to be more "cinematic." But I'll bet with today's comparatively more sophisticated comics writing, it could be pulled off quite well.

And I owned many of those back in the '70s. Those were fun.

Even just listening without the comics was great -- theatre of the mind.
