I'd have been more impressed if he called it Peter Gabriel, but that's been done to death.

When I first saw this thread I thought it was about a re-issue of his first great album.

Good - then I'll forget about quitting IMWAN and heading off to my own Secret World.

I was gonna use Gabriel's current album title, Scratch My Back in a rejoinder to Alan, but that would be inviting ridicule. I lack the Security to post such a thing.

Gabriel can Scratch My Ass with a Passion for all I care. Like a Birdy his career has taken a nose dive down but not Up.

Thanks for the update with the track list. I remember hearing George Harrison in an interview once saying how he wanted to record Rocking Chair with Eric Clapton. I wonder if they ever got around to that. I wonder what might lie in the vaults.

I'm also wondering if it's the easy-listening standard, which was a #1 hit for Roger Williams in 1955.

jim,

he did "over the rainbow" on his last live album, so who knows, that's why i questioned it.

you probably have "autumn leaves" by rickie lee jones and rob wasserman

Throw in Gene Simmons' take on "When You Wish Upon A Star" and we've got a killer compilation of mega-oldies here!

It's none of our business to care how Eric Clapton wears his hair.
It wouldn't matter to him how you wear yours.

Hello all,

Just copied and pasted the following. I hate it when they do this!

--------------------

Eric Clapton's 19th studio album will be available in several configurations with bonus tracks. Amazon in the U.K. and U.S. will sell a digital version with the bonus track "Midnight Hour Blues." The U.K. iTunes digital bonus track release will have, "I Was Fooled", like U.S. iTunes which was previously announced. Barnes & Noble, a U.S. chain of stores and online retailer, will sell "Clapton" with the extra track "Take A Walk With Me." And "You Better Watch Yourself" is available only on the Deluxe Limited Edition Bundle sold on EC's official website, ericclapton.com. All retailers will also carry a standard 14-track edition.
