I mean actually balled up his fist, hauled off and smacked someone? I don't recall that he has... even in Superman 2 and 4.

I would bet evil Supes punched Clark in the junkyard fight of Superman III. Can't remember for sure, though.

I know he never punched anybody on "Superfriends". Actually, neither did anyone else.

This one time a guy was right behind him and wouldn't get off his cell phone, and it was during Silence of the Lambs. Supes stood up and punched that guy.

I really like Reeve and all... but it was painfully obvious in all his action scenes he was fairly awkward punching and fighting.

Yup, we really need a Matrix Revolutions style super fight in the Next Superman film. That means Bizarro, Mongul, or Parasite would be nice adversaries. Please no Doomsday just yet.

I'm thinking for this first movie that Nolan is producing, having Superman fight a big robot is a good start... kind of like the Animated Series pilot where Corben is piloting the Lexosuit and maybe he can come back in another film as Metallo.

In the Donner version of Superman II, he punches Zod, I think instead of that horrible kick.
