Well done John, it was a good run and fun to read. Sorry to see you leaving but sometimes we just have to work those pesky "day jobs" ;)

That Mark Millar "plea for an artist" was very interesting. Only 16 pages a month for 6 months, starting next week. I think it may be very difficult for him to find an award-winning artist with that big a hole in their schedule, though.

Some sticky love for JV for a couple of days, since it's his last column ...

Millar's looking for Top 10 experience? That kind of narrows it down to just Gene Ha.

Well, that or Jerry Ordway.

Maybe Ordway could ink and redraw the heck out of Ha's faces?

If not John Byrne could get it done. None of the above mentioned are known for their painting skills though (unless Gene Ha does, not familiar with his work).

Byrne could certainly pencil it; he could probably complete a 96-page graphic novel in a couple of months, maybe less. But I don't think he's ever published any painted art.

Couldn't say for sure, but Byrne may be "intimidated" by painting because of his colour-blindness.

I'm not trying to mind-read here, but I'm colour-blind and that's why I never got into painting. Too many shades and hues to contend with.

Agreed, Kevin, I was lumping him in with the others as non-painters.
