I have to say, I love this concept!

Alpha Flight = Canada
Texas Rangers = the American Southwest
Champions of Los Angeles: California
Great Lakes Avengers = Wisconsin

The idea of a team of superheroes who each with a different theme that ties them in some way to that region is something I enjoy in particular. The original incarnation of Alpha Flight was like that. West Coast Avengers almost had it there for a while with members like Wonder Man and Tigra, who had some ties to the west coast, but that fell short. The recent Marvel "Initiative" teams were kinda flat to me though... typical overkill of an idea.
