What do you guys think of Patrick Stewart as Lex Luthor?

A little too old, IMO. Still, I'd be for it.

You do realize that anyone can shave their head, right? Being bald doesn't really make him more qualified than anyone else. Although the movie was just alright (at best), I thought Kevin Spacey was good. Anyone with good acting chops could play it well. I agree that Stewart is a little on the old side for the role. For someone younger, I would be inclined to go with someone like Zachary Quinto.

I think Billy Zane is just right now.

I have a huge soft spot not just for him but for all the old time comedians, like Henny Youngman. I love cornball jokes.

There was some talk of getting Billy Zane's Phantom cast back together to do Phantom II,
but they said at the time that the people backing it were waiting to see how well The Spirit movie did
before committing to it.

In all honesty, while that film may have been faithful from a story perspective, it was a really mediocre movie taken on its own. Very cheesey.

To make it work, they'd really need to adjust the mood and tone of it for today's audiences so it comes across as less "golly gee".

Rickles is God.
