I admit. I know his art is T&A but i like it and I think he could draw a damn good, sexy Batman series. He is the only thing that made Birds of Prey readable, though there were some good moments in the writing. I know I'm meandering ehre but i did like the gathering of martial arts against the Twelve brothers, similar to my idea for the Outsiders.

Okay, I'm done going all over the place.

I like his work as well. I wish he did more Marvel stuff though.

I would like an Ed Benes Hellfire CLub miniseries

A traditional Avengers series, with his rendition of the Wasp and Wanda.

I think of him as a weakass Jim Lee.

I think Benes could do with having stronger storytelling skills and selecting less static posing for his figures. He is constantly improving though, so that's cool.

I enjoyed his work on Birds of Prey.

That is great!. Nothing wrong with T&A, in my opinion. Can't hurt with the male fans.

Benes manages to make Mary Marvel and Supergirl alluring and sexy in that pic, but still retain some girly innocence. That's a tough thing to do.

He could use a slicker inker.

Back in the day, he was a Deodato clone.

That's a problem with the industry today as well-- you can see how much Benes has improved since those days. Today, I'm unsure if there's enough of an environment where young artists can build their skills while working professionally.

I see hidden feet, excess lines and pouches and veins, and I also wonder what the black widow is standing on, It appears to be Vision's collar.

Honestly I would grade it as slightly better, but would accept completely if someone told me Leifeild drew that.

Unlike Liefeld, I bet Benes would be embarrassed by that cover today. Liefeld would see it as a pinnacle of cool.
