She's from some world called Mimick. When LCDR Spock first met her, he lost his head over her.

This is true for all of us. Star Trek, to use the same example, was "really old" to me when I was a kid in the 70s (even though I still loved it). I wondered about people who had been famous in the 60s that I heard about, often assuming them to have died. :) Even today all that stuff seems like it was way before my time, lumped in with the 40s and 50s in my head.

I'm honestly checking out more and more music from the 70's and 80's a lot and have been for awhile. While some of it does seem pretty different from today's music, I have to admit a lot of it is really good. Especially the pop and classic rock from the 60's and 70's...we don't have much like that now. Maybe there are bands that make that kind of music, but I don't hear anything like it on the radio or top 40. I wish we had bands like Yes, Wings, Abba, ELO and others like that now.
:sigh:

The "piece" that will forever remember her treatment of a certain individual (who's name I can't mention) who happens who know that Hilary Fluff's public persona is a facade! She's "nice" in public, but secretly is jealous of a certain female performing and recording artist...who's name I can't mention publicly.

Trust me! she deserves to be scorned!! :)

LOL! And they're still here! :ohyes:

I know what you mean. The 80's seem like a galaxy from a long time ago in a music land far, far away. Whenever I learn about artists from then I'm amazed that they're still around and playing. I responded to a member on the ICE Board about Heuy Lewis. I've seen a few of his vids on youtube and heard a couple of his songs on Internet radio...but I can't believe he's still around and touring...it seems like he should be long gone by now, Jeff.
:ohyes:

Btw, the song I really like from Heuy Lewis is Heart and Soul...I like the vid and the song is really good. I like the guitar solo in that song.

I loved Star Trek in syndication in the 70's. It seemed so old, though. It blows my mind that it was just from the previous decade. Like something from the 90's now (like Seinfeld or something).

I went to see the first Star Trek movie, and it seemed like a big dramatic reunion from way back, but the show had only been off the air 9 or 10 years. Wrath of Khan, show had been off 13 years.

I think time warped a lot between about 1969 and 1975. Stuff really aged because pop culture changed during the turmoil of the 60's, Vietnam, and Watergate.
