Here's a trick I learned from a Seattle radio station in the 70's:

Find a VINYL LP of the ARS 2 LP live set. Put on Imaginary Lover at 45 rpm, & listen to Stevie Nicks & Fleetwood Mac in all of their mid 70's glory - It really works!!

Would I need bell bottoms, a lava lamp, Pong and a can of Tab?

This works just as well with the studio version. In fact, over time there have been a lot of stories, almost bordering on "Paul Is Dead" in terms of quantity, one of which had Stevie hearing about this and passing off a recording of this phenomenon as being a new song that she was working up for the band. I'm not sure I buy that story though.
