Sadly, I'm not an Olivetti fan, but I'm willing to look past that for a monthly dose of Namor in my life.

I don't think he was the first mutant.

Marvel has said so for a very long time now.

Yeah, but the character Apocalypse predates Namor by about a billion years. I think what Marvel means is that Namor is their first mutant superhero.

Oh, you're right! I think that was even a tagline they used for him for a while, wasn't it?

I think that was in the Byrne series.

Atlantean vampires. I'll pass.

Well in Marvel, Vampirism came from Atlantis so it works.

This will be cool if they dress Namor in an orange fishscale jersey, green pants and green gloves.

And this is after the mutant vampires in X-men!

Hordes of vampires and hordes of zombies have the same effect on me.

Namor is Marvel's first mutant.,,, in order of introduction, Marvel Comics #1 (and Fantastic Four #4 for that matter) predates X-Factor #6 by quite a while.

I find it strange that there is a new X-MEN #1 coming out, and it has them fighting vampires. That doesn't seem like an appropriate story for a comic called X-MEN #1. Unless it is Vampire Magneto.

Will there be a Quesada variant?
