While stuck in traffic, I was struck by the sight of a girl on a motorcycle.

And yes, I've seen plenty of girls on bikes before...this one was different.

She was driving a lavender and white-colored bike, with matching helmet. She wasn't wearing leather and jeans, either, but rather, what looked to be a aqua-colored nurses outfit.

It was the first time I looked a female rider and didn't think "biker chick." I would describe her as more of a "girly-girl biker."

For some reason, she immediately made me think of Daphne. 8-)

It was really you, wasn't it, Evil? You were looking in your own mirror.

I've seen at least 5 or 6 different women on sport bikes in the 1000 and up range. It's interesting to see in that they usually are smaller, or petite, and are riding on bikes with huge racing back tires. These bikes would dwarf even full grown men! But they seem to be able to handle them.

I've just never seen a "girly bike" like this. It reminded me of the bicycles a little girl would ride.

And this girl didn't look like a "biker" at all. If I hadn't seen her on the bike, I would never have guessed...

I guess you really can't judge a book by its' cover!

She's been unusually quiet lately. I hope everything's alright.

She's a great gal.

I think Daphne was considering leaving here because it was too raunchy for her or something. I might have read too much into something she said.

It's what happens when you start a thread questioning the lack of more women in Imwan. You list our faults and run the risk of a current female member having a moment of clarity and bolting for the door.

But we think biker librarians are so cool. Where else is she going to get that admiration?

Going into the attic was a mark of absolute coolness. There was no, "Oh, no, there might be icky spiders!"... there was just, "Something is wrong in the attic...I'm going to kick some ass and take some names and FIX this problem."
