That's Robert Downey Jr. (aka "Bob"), obviously, on his reprised star turn as Tony Stark in IRON MAN 2. My friends around the world, seeing the flick already in Malaysia and Germany, suggest that expectation's well met.

"I know very little about acting" Downey's known to say; "I'm just an incredibly gifted faker." That kind of self-effacement and confidence, simultaneously, fits the Micheleine/ Layton comics version of the character I read so voraciously in adolescence.

Honestly, I didn't watch the first Iron Man. But I may catch it online and check out the sequel. To be honest, I like Robert Downey JR. He had a hard time and was really struggling. But he pulled himself up and is now living a second-chance life. I'm happy for him and it's good to hear he's doing so well.

If you'd asked me ten years ago about Robert Downey Jr.'s career prospects, I would have pegged him as a top contender for the death pool. Every time it looked like he'd gotten his act together, something happened and he was back at square one.

I'm glad he got himself together, because he is a talented actor and an intelligent man. He seems to have embraced a sober life and has a good, supportive woman behind him.

But it is weird to see him in a sequel...and to a superhero movie, at that!

Hi Francine! You and Evil were the only ones on when I stopped by...West Coast life...I was absolutely crazy about this movie. I'd go back multiple times. My favorite since STAR TREK, I think. And I really dug Avatar, so that's saying something.

Yeah, I don't get why everyone's so down on it --- the naysayers, I mean.

It's just a fun movie, that's all. I liked it almost as much as the first one. I thought I'd miss Terrence Howard as Rhodey, but Don Cheadle filled in quite nicely.

If I want character development, I'll watch Sense & Sensibility.
