Miss Martian does seem to be filling the niche vacated recently by Mary Marvel (when the latter went all dark and crazy and thoroughly unappealing). Miss Martian is now the "good girl" super-heroine of DC Comics, at least visually... and will probably remain that way until someone reboots the Marvel Family and gets them all back on track.

Nowadays that's entirely believable.

So, Miss Martian is a good girl NOW, but....

She's got red hair.

She's in the Young Justice cartoon.

She's a White Martian, a few of that martian "race" (as much as a shape shifting species can have race) survived, and Miss Martian is one of them. The White Martians differs from the Green because they are more warrior-like and have tried to conquer Earth a few times, but Miss Martian is all cute and heroic.

And she likes White Russians.

Eh. I like the character of Miss Martian,but you know that some writer is going to make a "meaningful" story by making her become corrupt.

Its like the Alex Ross redesign of Suprema.(almost nude) Completely missing the point.
Or when Morrison had the White Martians punished in a Silver Age fashion only to have Mark Waid use that as a story idea that ensured many Humans died.....making the Martian Manhunter a real schnook .

Well, you DO know that Mark Waid is evil, don't you?
