Also debuting at that time is the 30-minute animated series Young Justice. Loosely based on the DC comic series created by Todd DeZago and Todd Nauck, Young Justice centers on a group of teenage capes out to prove they’re ready for The Justice League. Robin, Kid Flash, Superboy, Artemis, Miss Martian and Aqualad make up the squad. No footage of the series was screened, so it's unclear what the tone of the show will be. The comic, under DeZago and later Peter David’s direction, often infused comedy into the drama and action.

DC actually had a strong presence at the upfront, which is geared to get advertisers excited about the upcoming schedule and get them to buy ad time early.

DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns was also in attendance, as overseeing the various adaptations of DC’s heroes falls under his wide-ranging new responsibilities.

Well, they apparently couldn't use "Teen Titans."

That's what I'm thinking... but he's got blond hair so I don't know if he's black or not. I like Miss Martian, though.

Who's the gal with the up arrow on her chest? An archer or does she grow to great height?

That's a good question, Rob. Probably "Con-El" or something.

"Artemis," I suppose. Probably a revamping of Arrowette.

Yeah, they'll probably tie her in with Wonder Woman... with a name like "Artemis."

One would think that "Wonder Girl" would be a great marketing venture for Warner and DC.

I've read that Aqualad is possibly the son of Black Manta.

I wonder if they will change Black Manta's name to Devil Ray as they did with JL TAS.

Looks fun. Every animated effort from DC so far has been something I enjoyed so I'll give it a shot.
