I wonder if the extras are going to be all of the additional versions from the previously Japan-only titles like "45 RPM Club" (23:05), "Twelve Inch Club" (25:57), "Road Club" (25:47), "Scoundrel Club" (29:23) and such. That wouldn't really offer enough to fill a second CD, or at least enough really compelling stuff, since I don't need dub versions and all. Live stuff? The time I saw them live, you could barely hear them for all of the screaming teeny-bopper girls, ala the Beatles. Maybe soundboard live stuff would be better. We'll see.

Let the delays begin! Amazon UK now lists the release date as 12 July.

Hopefully these will come out before a-ha calls it quits at the end of the year...

So far, Amazon has a pretty nasty price tag on these. I hope they go down significantly in price before they're released.

From what I have been able to gather from the Rhino press release (which I still haven't seen in full... grrr), these sets will be available in the US exclusively through Rhino's web site, with pre-orders starting next week. The sets listed on amazon and elsewhere are EU imports, hence the higher price.

If possible, I loved Scoundrel Days more than Hunting High and Low. Both of these albums bring back very fond memories. Add two more to the order list...

I could ask, "Who would buy this?"

But why would I ask such a question...?

The Rhino site is currently knocking $5 off the total cost if you pre-order both sets.

I don't have any confirmation on this, but an a-ha fan site is reporting that these were assembled and remastered by Bill Inglot.

Happily, Discorama got promos of these, saving me some dollars.

Jewel case or digipak? I ordered my copies from amazon.uk and they were in jewel cases. Apparently both versions were released in Europe. I'm guessing the Rhino US copies are just digipaks.

The Rhino package with these FINALLY arrived today. Just sensational. At full blast, the remastered "The Sun Always Shines on TV" is a true religious experience for me.
