Doves have announced details of their forthcoming 'best of' album.

Entitled 'The Places Between: The Best Of Doves' and released on April 5, the compilation features songs such as 'The Cedar Room', 'Black & White Town', 'There Goes The Fear' and 'Pounding'.

Also including a second disc of b-sides, rarities and unreleased tracks, the collection also boasts the newly recorded tracks 'Blue Water', 'Drifter' and their new single 'Andalucia'.

Released in both a single disc and multi-disc version, the latter will also come with a selection of the group's music videos on DVD.

It looks like the 2-CD/1-DVD Special Edition is the only one which will be released here in America tomorrow, while the UK will get the standard, less elaborate version. That makes a nice change!

Doves have denied they are splitting up after their forthcoming UK tour.

Guitarist Jez Williams told The Observer he was misquoted recently as saying the nine-date jaunt would "probably" be the Manchester band's final tour.

"It is our last tour for a bit. I never said forever," he said.

His brother, drummer Andy Williams, added: "I was like: 'The band are splitting up!? No one told me."

'The Places Between: The Best Of Doves' was released today (April 5).

It includes a disc of b-sides, rarities and unreleased tracks, including newly-recorded songs 'Blue Water', 'Drifter' and new single 'Andalucia'.

The US will get the single-disc version after the initial "limited" multi-disc edition sells out.

The AmazWAN link in the first post is showing a U.S. release date of April 20, 2010, now. Has there been a delay ??

Also, is the DVD going to be NTSC, and region-1 or -0 ??

According to the official Doves website, the North American release has indeed been pushed back to April 20.

The bonus DVD is NTSC Region 0.

Also, iTunes has "Brazil" (a previously released "Winter Hill" b-side) as an additional bonus track.
