Looks to be another awesome collection. I'd imagine many die-hards who bought all the CD singles and such have a good chunk of this stuff, but they can't have all of it, especially not in one place now like it is, plus the DVD content. Looks very nice to me.

The digital download concert 12/81 was terrific so techophobe as I am I night need to get that. Heard it at the time. I'll must likely get the 2CD/DVD set as I don't have "Greatest Hits" on DVD and although I adore my JPN first cd pressings (the For UK and Black Triangle) plus UK lp the bonus audio tracks appeals.

I'm absolutely in for this one. I'll skip Raggedy Tiger, but this album is the best love letter to Japan (the band) I've ever heard.

The last I heard about this and Ragged Tiger, they were still set for a March release, date undetermined. The deluxe version of Arcadia's So Red the Rose was originally slated for release this coming week in the US but they bumped it back to April TBA so it would fit in chronologically with the other two in March. (Never mind that the first big Duran deluxe title was Rio, their second album...) To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they all got delayed some, given a) EMI's current dire financial straits and b) the fact that the deluxe Rio had its fair share of delays (originally slated for June 2009 but it didn't come out in the States 'til October). But that set was a must-buy for Duranies, and these look to be the same. I'll wait as patiently as I can for as long as I have to.

These are still on and were always coming out. In fact, there will be 2CD/1DVD version of both Notorious and Big Thing later this year. Both of those are due in May but may get pushed back. EMI have plenty of other big remasters coming out this year from other artists and whatever their financial status is should not effect these releases. I have now updated the new date for the Duran Duran and Seven And The Ragged Tiger remasters.

The label listed on these is "Phantasm Imports", so there should still be an NTSC version coming that hasnt been listed yet by Amazon.

Note: Let's not assume that Amazon(in either the UK or U.S.A.) is correct concerning the color format of the DVD, because the "Duran Duran-Live in Hammersmith" CD/DVD set was manufactured by EMI in Europe for the entire world(the U.S.A. release was Capitol importing the European release).....and the DVD was NTSC. EMI/UK's other recent CD + DVD sets(including titles by Thomas Dolby & Deep Purple) also had NTSC DVD's.

The video encoding is a mute point for those in the UK as their DVD players and most televisions handle 525 line NTSC as well as 625 PAL. I have no issue at all with them being done as NTSC whatsoever.

The DVD portion IS NTSC R0 and I'll add it sounds really good to having just gotten mine.

Now that it's obvious that EMI in Europe is going to centrally manufacture the Duran Duran & Arcadia titles for the entire world(with NTSC DVD's) and Capitol was merely going to import them, there's no need to wait around for Capitol to take their sweet time about U.S.A. distribution("Duran Duran" & "Seven & The Ragged Tiger" are postponed until May in the U.S.A., but available now from UK dealers, and "Arcadia" will be available from Uk dealers April 13th)

Does your download match with the song line-up described at the start of this thread? If not, it is a different Duran Duran BBC concert that was released on CD & download last year.

These remasters are getting pummeled on Amazon and the New Wave Outpost for being screechy, tinny and loud as hell. If anyone can provide feedback as to the sonics I'd appreciate it. The same guy who got flamed for the Spandau Ballet remasters did these. I forget his name-Andy Walker or something like that.
