Well, I have 11 of them - not sure if he should have put the Springsteen album on there (not discussing on level of merit or not, but conflict of interest :) ).

I listen to the XM Underground Garage channel alot, and he plays Bruce in regular rotation. I do like Bruce (mostly only through The River), but his music sticks out like a sore thumb among the rest of what's usually played.

I have 1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 18, 19, 21, and lots of different girl group compilations that contain most of 25.
11 is on my to get list.
May also look into 13 and some of the others.

Not to mention the three albums released on his own Wicked Cool Records label (by the Chesterfield Kings, the Cocktail Slippers, and the Len Price 3). But I own 2 of the three, and dammit, they ARE among the top 25 coolest albums of the decade. Though I'd've placed the LP3 higher.

I have all 3. Whichever one you're missing is definitely worth picking up.

Surprised he didn't try to tout some of his Coolest Songs In The World compilations in his list.

I've got 15 out of the 25 titles on the list (maybe one or two more; it's hard to remember what I buy sometimes) :-D .

That NY Dolls reunion album was one of the best surprises of the last decade.

I believe
Rock and Roll Backlash
The Woggles
is also on that label (as I have it - and it is pretty cool - and some local BB (not all of them), gave been slashing some of these wicked cool titles down to 4.99 - I picked up the Stabalizers (sp) - which is pretty cool.)

I was not aware that he owned Wicked Cool...pretty much every thing from that label that I picked up I like...I don't know if that makes me cool or not.

Nice list. I think I have 14 of them, plus all the "Coolest Songs" comps.

Don't have the Cocktail Slippers.

And of all the CSITW comps, Volume 4 was my fave. It's a shame they haven't put any new ones out in the last year.

Points off for choosing a Springsteen album he plays on.

His number one album is actually 11 or 12 albums, by my reckoning.

Sorry Steve -- be a man and pick one Beatles album for your top slot.

In a way the inclusion of the Beatles and the Nuggets box sets is cheating, as they are oldies.

I have only 2 of the 25 listed. The Beatles and Bruce. None of the rest. Never heard of most of them.

Another pick for the Hives! Awesome. Though Tyrannosaurus Hives is a better album.
