She's been on a slow steady decline since Fumbling. This is likely going to be about the breakup with her husband. Hopefully that will produce some great songs like the old days. Though if the 2 new songs on greatest hits were any indication I may not want to hold my breath.

Don't get me wrong, i used to be a HUGE Sarah fan. Other then Building A Mystery from Surfacing, I just haven't been real impressed with her last couple, especially Afterglow. Her 1st 4 were SO GOOD (Touch, Solace, Live & Fumbling).

+1 Geff - although I hadn't heard she'd broken up w/her husband. I remember seeing her on MuchMusic on the satellite dish around the time of 'Touch' and being really impressed w/the music (and the video for 'Path Of Thorns'). I drove to Toronto on Christmas vacation to get the Canadian version (no Interwebs then!) so I could get her music, not the cover on the US version. But a couple albums later, she pretty much lost me. 'Adia' is the last song I really remember liking.

I first heard Touch in a Vancouver BC record store & bought it on the spot.

I too have lost all interest in Sarah and sold all of her CDs from my collection last year.

"Possession" is still my favorite. It was on a mix tape a girl gave me in high school.

Boy, she's really knockin' those albums out, huh? How long as it been now? Seven or eight years?

Her album of Christmas covers doesn't count, IMO

My prediction...the Lilith crowd will buy this one right away and then it will sink quickly. Look for decent first week numbers and a big plunge afterwards.

I think it totally depends on her songwriting.

Curious if anyone's going to have exclusive editions. Nettwerk has a history of milking each release for all they can.

So far, I only know Barnes & Noble has a bonus track, "Love Come (Piano Version)".

Amazon lists the same track, so that doesn't appear to be a B&N exclusive.

Sarah should cover "Lick My Love Pump". That'd be a hell of an exclusive.

There is already a bs bonus track. There is a new comp coming 6/15 called Lilith 2010. Based on what I've read, The ONLY newly recorded song for it is "One Dream" by Sarah.

In addition to the annoyance of "One Dream" NOT being included, even on the "deluxe" edition, I'm sure fans who shelled out $$$ for her greatest hits collection a few years back to get the two new songs ("U Want Me 2" and "Don't Give Up On Us") are just thrilled that they are both included here. Usually they keep those things exclusive to the 'best of' sets to give people a reason to buy them for years to come but...jeesh.

But wait! It gets better: Barnes & Noble has an "exclusive" version with a bonus track! Is it...is it "One Dream"? Of COURSE not; it's an acoustic version of the track, "Loving You Is Easy." But wait! There's still more: the deluxe CD + DVD version at Barnes & Noble...doesn't have the exclusive track that the CD-only version does. So, if you want the exclusive B&N track, the DVD and "One Dream," you have to buy the B&N version of the CD, the CD/DVD set and the Lilith comp.

Of course...

Diehard fans, line up and grab your ankles, cuz we're losing sales to downloaders, so the only way to make back some of it is to shaft the dedicated fans who want everything. Ethics vs. marketing; guess which wins most of the time...

UPDATE: The icing on the cake...according to the track listing on CD Japan, the 6/30 release there includes both "One Dream" and a second version of "Loving You Is Easy," presumably the acoustic B&N version...
