Wow, it looks like some of those may be complete shows. I'll pick this up for sure.

This looks good. I'm glad Matthey Katz doesn't control all of their stuff.

If I understand properly, he only controls the original album art, right?

I can't read through all of it, but he claims he owns the name too. But Sundazed pulling the 1st 3 albums back was about the artwork or other interests. I guess they fired him afterwards, and that has to do now with Sundazed legally being able to keep the other albums in print.

You see, Sony COULD reissue the first 3 albums, but with new artwork(or no artwork). They did exactly that for the albums by "It's a Beautiful Day"; albums where Katz also claims that he owns the artwork. Katz is a rather pathetic and vengeful individual.

Unfortunately, the 1st album is the best one, a true classic. The rest can be boiled down to a best of the rest, which is something Edsel did a long time ago. They put out a comp (vinyl) called Murder In My Heart For The Judge, 14 tracks culled from the other albums, and it's great. That said, I'm eagerly awaiting this release. Live stuff from the days when Spence was in the band, finally.

Yes, the 1st album is the best. I just got thru listening to this Live Double LP, and i gotta say if you like the Grape, your gonna like this one.
I decided to order the purple vinyl, and I'm glad I did. It not only looks great with light purple vinyl and crimson colored labels, but sounds great too.
Pressing is nice and flat and very quiet. I also picked up the Live single too.Bob Irwin did a nice job on this release. :ohyes:

I got this yesterday and have already listened to it a few times. This is a really good CD. The sound is rough in areas (first 7 tracks / Avalon Ballroom concert), but the playing is great. Love the 17 minute jam at the end.
