What I mean by this is, would there be enough animation to keep a non-basketball fan like me interested? I've seen the VHS used for a buck.

It's a fun movie; my kids like it a lot.

Yeah, basketball, while the theme and obviously featured prominently, is incidental to the fun.

Great, I'll look for it again. They also have "Roger Rabbit" there for a buck, I'll get both. (if they are still there) I quite liked Roger Rabbit when it was released on video back then.

Guess I'm in the minority.

I thought Space Jam a waste of celluloid.

In fact...I think Looney Tunes Back In Action is more enjoyable...and it's not particularly good either.

VHS= Very horrible sight

Space Jam is a forgotten movie. Its biggest claim to fame is Michael Jordan starred in it.

There was one review I read which summed up in a nutshell what was wrong with Space Jam.
Imagine Groucho Marx BEGGING Margaret Dumont to help his brothers out because she was
their only hope.

They should have retired Bugs Bunny after Mel Blanc died.

Space Jam was terrible.

But what's the total risk for a buck?

I thought it was entertaining, but then again I'm a huge MJ and Looney Toons fan both.

I didn't like it---a clever 1-minute commercial stretched out to a soulless feature film---but my little nephew adores it.

Plus, the aliens in the movie steal the basketball abilities of Muggsy Bogues and Shawn Bradley.

Shawn Bradley.

This is my sentiment too. When a date suggested we go see Space Jam I knew the relationship was going nowhere. And it didn't. I actually paid movie theater prices to see that crap on the big screen.

Don't let that stop you though, spend the buck.

It is hard for me to like these movies after the greatest of the early Warner Brothers cartoons.
They're okay, but not worth buying for any real money (meaning more than 10% of list price).
