There was a link downstairs as well.
Can't say I didn't expect it, but I'm really sad. He was quite a character. A real likable guy.

Yeah....I'm a huge fan of the show, and I've grown to like these guys. Phil was a genuine guy...no BS. I sat last night reading various reports and tributes for over an hour.....for some reason, his passing has hit me pretty good. It's going to be interesting to see how Discovery handles this when it comes time to air the series. They had a crew taping when Phil had the stroke. He's one of those guys that you would just love to sit and have a couple of beers and shoot the bull with. Despite his rough exterior, a very likeable man.
Godspeed, Phil.

He was very entertaining to watch. Here's hoping his sons are able to continue on The Cornelia Marie in his absence...

Fisherman's Prayer:
God grant that I may live to fish, until my dying day, And when it comes to my last cast, I then most humbly pray, When in the Lord's safe landing net, I'm peacefully asleep, That in his mercy I be judged, As big enough to keep.

Brotoro should be the captain of a crabbing vessel.
