Blue eyed cap yet in a different costume. If I had to change his look, I probably would pick something closer to what a movie version would have (like in the Ultimates).

Still not a fan of Iron Man's more angular look but it's getting better. Also, don't care for Spiderman in the Avengers. Glad to see Hawkeye and the Beast but do we need a gorilla when we already have the Beast?

Still interesting.

No offense Allen, but YAAAAWWWNNN.

Now, if this is a new Avengers team, I might be interested.

A big "tonal shift" taking place, huh? Would be nice to see, but I won't hold my breath.

Yes, we do.

Have you been reading any of the Agents of Atlas books, Allen? Good stuff.

I predict Marvel's 'Heroic Age' will last exactly 17 months.

Not the Cap in the image though, I hope.

(I like BuckyCap, but the big three should be in the Avengers).

By the way, the logo is cheeseriffic. Should have added some shooting stars or at least a yellow smiley face.

Agents of Atlas rocks. If this means they will start to ooze into Avengers continuity, that would be good.

I buy everything with Agents of Atlas in it -- the one shots, the Vs. titles, and the Hercules back up stories.

I'm with you on AoA, Jay. Except the Hercules back-ups. The Vs. X-Men mini was decent, but the Vs. Avengers mini is terrific so far.

Great characters. Jeff Parker is gold.

Yes -- the orginal series came out a long time ago.

And the Vol. 2 has its first trade out (Dark Reign), with the second one (Turf Wars) due out Feb. 10. You've got to read the very first one, tough. The "set up" is really one of the cool things about Agents of Atlas. The other cool thing is every thing about it.

And for some reason, Agents of Atlas (the original trade) is one of those where the hardcover is as cheap as paper.

(It's so cool -- it has the recent Agents of Atlas series, plus an original Atlas-era story for each character).

Me too, but I didn't care too much for the Thunderbolts tie-ins.

I figured that Bucky Cap would continue to be in the Avengers and would carry Cap's shield.
I figured that Steve Rogers instead would wield S.H.I.E.L.D. for awhile.

Spoiler: show
I saw in a recent issue where Steve picked up his energy shield thingie from the 90s

I don't see Beast in the Avengers again—Looking like that, all X-Manish—unless it's for a short period
of time to reestablish all of the Heroes of the Marvel Universe as Heroes again. Likewise, I don't see
the Agents of Atlas blending into the Avengers for longer than a team-up against some threat. Black
Widow is getting her own book (hoping to capitalize on her Iron Man II role/Avengers role no doubt).
Ben is probably there just as a representative of the FF. Ben would make a good Avenger, though,
but he's hardly needed on the team that already has Iron Man and Thor.

Me too!

I think this is just a promo piece for the Marvel Universe, not the Avengers.

I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

Agreed. And though it's still kitty cat Beast, I'm either getting used to it, or it's looking more like the old Beast.

Oh, Allen's already made my list!

Do we need a gorilla? What kind of a question is that? It's a comic! THERE MUST BE A GORILLA! :-D

Preferably a talking gorilla. One that smokes cigars. Or even one who plays the sitar and works as a cartoonist.
