Sony Music, on the back of the success of The Best of Alison Moyet, are planning to re-release the four Alison Moyet studio albums recorded between 1984 and 1994.
Not only will Alf, Raindancing, Hoodoo and Essex get the remastered treatment, but the plan is that they will all have a 2nd disc containing (on occasion, for the first time ever) B-sides, 12" versions and remixes associated wirth each period.
As soon as we have more facts, we will update you with details and release dates (we are currently looking at an early 2010 first release).

I'd argue that this one actually needs it. Other than numerous singles compilations over the years, the catalogue, including b-sides, remixes, etc, has been neglected. It will be great to get hold of some of these tracks that have only been available on vinyl.

For as many times as SOME artists have had their catalogues re-re-re-reissued, it is about time Alison's is being upgraded. I will not mind buying these four again with b-sides, etc. I would love to have Sade's catalogue also be reissued with a bonus disc of b-sides, remixes, etc.

I had completely forgotten about Alison Moyet! I'll have to dig out Alf and Raindancing for a listen. It's been years since I've heard them. Come to think of it, I haven't heard Yazoo for years either.
