I hear that next Rod Stewart will do The Greatest Barry Manilow Songs Of All Time and that Barry will do The Greatest Rod Stewart Songs Of All Time. This will be followed by Carlos Santana doing a tribute to both of them with Rob Thomas, Taylor Swift and Marilyn Manson.
Then, the universe will implode because no one will want to live after all that.

Per American Songwriter, the 16 tracks to comprise this album:
1. As Time Goes By 2. How Deep Is The Ocean? 3. You Made Me Love You 4. We’ve Only Just Begun 5. The Twelfth Of Never 6. I’ve Got A Crush On You 7. I Can’t Give You Anything But Love 8. The Shadow Of Your Smile 9. When You Were Sweet Sixteen (1898) 10. The Look Of Love 11. Theme From Love Story (Where Do I Begin) 12. Nevertheless (I’m In Love With You) 13. Our Love is Here To Stay 14. Fools Rush In 15. It Could Happen To You 16. I Only Have Eyes for You
Another source reports only 15 tracks, so it's possible that one will be cut before release time. Interestingly, the songs are almost all standards, with "We've Only Just Begun" and "The Look of Love" thrown in there...both I'd suspect to be outtakes from his recent 1960s and 1970s discs, but hell, I never argue with including Bacharach/David and Williams/Nichols covers.

Maybe an album of Barry, Liza Minnelli (who he looks like now), and mannequins of each (since neither look human) could do a collaborations album covering Dentist Office Classics Presented By Clive Davis. Including free toothbrush and dentures coupon.

Indeed...Clive Davis may be able to generate huge sales for Barry Manilow and Rod Stewart (which in turn generates huge ticket sales in concert), but at what cost to their creativity and drive? A follow-up to Mayflower would be more than welcome!

Agreed. I liked Here At The Mayflower quite a bit, but there hasn't been much creativity since.

LOVED Mayflower!
When he does his thing with originals, he can still bring it. I still maintain Rod Stewart would do a killer rock album today as well, with the right material and producers. But when either one does the covers shit...P.U....stinksville.

A "Fanilow" friend of mine ordered a copy from QVC because it has a bonus disc with five additional tracks. It sure is pricey, though — $25 or thereabouts.

The worthy bonus track on the QVC bonus disc is "Golddigger", an outtake from the 1980 BARRY album, and co-produced by Barry & Ron Dante. (Two other outtakes from this LP have already been released via streaming on Manilow's website.) The other QVC tracks are "Nature Boy" recorded by a young Barry in 1948 (and similar to "Sing It" on Manilow's self-titled first LP) and three outtakes from the Eighties album: "Every Breath You Take", "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" and "Biggest Part of Me" with Dave Koz. An expanded CD of the BARRY album, though, would have been more welcome, similar to QVC's reissue of the MANILOW album in conjunction with the Eighties release.
