Never thought I'd see these get a re-issue. Are these actually remastered? If so, that's pretty damn cool. Don't know about bonus tracks or anything. Does Collector's Choice do a good job generally? OK, I'm done supplying new release info for the masses for now. Oh yeah, can someone give me a rundown of all Cooper remasters to date, even multiple issues? Thanks! P.S. Does anyone else have interest in these bizarre titles but me?

Does Collector's Choice do a good job generally? Yes, Collectors' Choice remaster their titles, and they generally do a good job. (If Wounded Bird are the yin of American reissue labels, Collectors' Choice are the yang.) Sometimes they include bonus tracks too, so we'll have to wait and see if these Cooper albums are expanded.

Very happy to see these underrated albums reissued as well...but it's more of a pleasant surprise in that the imports have always been cheap and easy to find (usually at about $6 each). I'm hoping for some remastering that'll make it worth upgrading.

I've seen these albums before, but have been skeptical of getting them. Anything after 1975 tends to be hit or miss, so I haven't felt compelled to get these. Can anyone comment on the musical aspect? I might get them if they can be gotten cheaply.

These, along with FLUSH THE FASHION, are all Alice Cooper's personal favorites...even though he was so drunk during this period that he can't remember making the albums. (He's said so in interviews.) They're pretty much stripped-down pop-punk songwriting with a trace of glam. Sadly, nobody paid much attention. I'd put a priority on DaDa, followed by SPECIAL FORCES and then ZIPPER CATCHES SKIN.

Not to ramble on here (anything to avoid Thanksgiving), but those YouTube clips make a good case for DADA. The album has a few strong rock tunes, but is also a pretty esoteric affair with great production by Bob Ezrin...who's always best at capturing a breakdown on tape.

I don't collect much hard rock, but I do enjoy Alice Cooper's work, so I am interested in this recent spate of reissues. Alice Cooper is getting a lot of attention now.

All of these albums are excellent and I'm happy as a pig in S#%& to see them get remastered . When Rhino released his boxset I read that the rest of his albums would get remastered , maybe this is the start of that.Hopefully we'll get a slew of bonus tracks . Collectors Choice don't really include any info in their booklets do they ?

As for the CC CD booklets, I don't remember if there are any recording notes or it's only a general text.

Again, can anyone list what Cooper remasters have been handled to date? Thanks!

"Zipper Catches Skin" has an awesome cover.
I remember liking the tunes from that one when I heard it, though I must admit I can't recall any of them now. (I have a notion that one of them actually reminded me of "Blister in the Sun" by the Violent Femmes ...)

All of the other ones are straight transfers as far as I know.

I remember when it looked like the whole catalogue was going to be completed. Thanks for the info.

I remember reading in ICE that Rhino was planning to release a box set of Alice's catalog, along the lines of similar boxes for Black Sabbath or Paul Simon. Obviously that never materialized.

Comprehensive and exposed me to a lot of Cooper music I'd never heard, particularly the very early pre-Cooper Nazz and Spiders and post-seventies Coop. I was hoping that a catalog revamp would happen, but apart from BDB and WTMN, it was a bust.

A bit of drive-by pedantry here, but speaking as someone who really likes "Muscle of Love": the Metal Blade "remaster" is exactly the same (perhaps with a slight level adjustment; it's been a while) as the stock Warners disc. I assume the same is true for "Lace" and "Inside."

The new Collector's Choice mail catalog refers to these as "back in print" with new liner notes and bonus tracks on 2 of the 3 titles. The word "remaster" is never used.
