This one has been at the top of my "most wanted list" for quite a while. Honestly, I've never heard anything from the album, but... it's Sam and Dave, so I gotta have it!

Product Description
First time on CD for this 1974 album from the Soul duo, originally released on United Artists. The album maintains the fine tradition of Gospel-styled Soul duets, recorded in Memphis and includes material written by Allen Toussaint, Mentor 'Drift Away' Williams and Motown's Pam Sawyer, all backed by a band featuring Duck Dunn, Al Jackson and Steve Cropper from the MGs, along with Memphis stalwarts Marvell Thomas, Willie Hall and the Memphis Horns. Shout.

Hopefully it will get a US release, that $28.00 import price is a little steep (at least until a review of the album is posted). I'm not familiar with this one.

Was this a reunion album? I thought they split up quite early.

Yeah, I'd call it a reunion album. They had split and reunited and (allegedly) wer3 enot getting along well (and there were drug problems already.) It might prove to be total crap although (from what I've read) it got pretty decent reviews when it was released, even though it sold poorly. It has the Stax rhythm section (including Al Jackson, Jr - a personal favorite of mine) and was produced by Steve Cropper PLUS it has compositions by Allen Toussaint, so I'm gonna take a chance on it. (Admittedly, I'll be looking for the best price I can find. As Steve said, that $28 price tag is a bit steep.)

Well, I'm no mathematician but even with the exchange rate and shipping I think buying from the UK site is cheaper...

Looks like $26.44 using today's conversion rates straight from the Shout (Cherry Red) website, but "only" $18.44 from Amazon.co.uk.

Sundodger1 is correct. Both are better than the current Amazon US prices, but both are still too steep for me to take a chance on without hearing samples (Amazon UK and the Shout site do not have any samples available).
