Ok, here you go. And Garp is right, Bay and Holiday may wait awhile to be signed.

Everything will reflect the interest of the Yankees and the Red Sox in driving up prices.
The Sox have shown a reluctance to go beyond 4-5 years deals as of late, and I don't think the Yankees want many more 8-10 year guys. I think most of the teams will show fiscal restraint, especially since next years free agent class looks to be very strong.

I could have used this one a couple of years ago.
I had an opposing coach argue that the home team always uses the 3rd base dugout,
I argued differently, but he refused to believe me.

I always thought home team was 1st base. Shows what I know. Cool site. Some of them are pretty humorous.

I got back from New Jersey today. One of the things I saw when I went
sightseeing was new Yankee Stadium. However, I also would have gone
on a tour of CitiField if it were available, but it isn't. My team has the worst
record in baseball, and WE have tours of Nats Park in the offesason. Why
not the Mets? :o

I can barely keep up with all the free agent movement over the week-end.

The new Yankee Stadium has a neon sign on top that says 27. Citifield looks like a Japanese arcade at night.

Whooooo! Go, Joe!

And yet, that just makes it that much harder to resign him.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Joe Mauer joined an elite group of players when he won his third American League batting title this past season.

Now the 26-year-old Twins catcher has become a member of another illustrious club -- that of MVP winners.

Mauer was named the American League Most Valuable Player by the Baseball Writers Association of America for the first time in his career on Monday, receiving 27 of the 28 first-place votes to easily beat out the Yankees' duo of Mark Teixeira and Derek Jeter for the honor.

Mauer finished with 327 points, well ahead of Teixeira, who had 225, and Jeter, who had 193. Detroit first baseman Miguel Cabrera, who received the only other first-place vote, was fourth with 171 points.

Congrats Beach.

Did Jason Bay really have that good a year. And I am starting to lose touch. I have never heard of Kendry Morales

Bay was an early choice for MVP when the Sox were still in first place.
He fell off the pace with a terrible six week stretch mid-summer, and finished ok, but not as well as he started.

Kendry Morales is the Angels switch hitting first baseman, and the reason they did not break the bank on Texeira. He is a definite top five power guy for the next 6-8 years.
