Pull List: Nightwing, Detective Comics, Batman, Mystery in Space.
Random: Justice League of America, Sensational Spider-Man, Friendly Neighborood Spider-Man
Another great issue of Nightwing by Marv Wolfman & Dan Jurgens. Even better than their first one.

I wanted to start picking up Nightwing again when Wolfman came on (dropped all but the core batbooks a while back), but I can't afford any more books. Well, I could, but then I'd have my wife upset with me. There's nothing out there I'm reading that I'm thinking of dropping soon, except Superman/Batman, which comes out so irregularly it's not something I could "replace" with a monthly.

Y The Last Man 51: more explanations this issue...compelling stuff..a satisfying explanation in regards to why the men died (even though it stretches credibility..i was expecting an explanation grounded more in actual science..but hey it still worked)..I agree that the issues where BKV focuses on how the world has changed without men are better..but then again ive also been clamoring for answers so i cant complain..7/10
Batman 658: a rather disjointed issue as the various plot threads did NOT really come together smoothly..Morrison was trying too much with this arc and I long for more classic Bat tales (crimes, mysteries, etc...DC should bring back Chuck Dixon on the bat books)...sweet art by Kubert though...i may stick around for the Joker story..but after that we'll see as I was underwhelmed...6/10
Superman 657: amazing issue as Arion gives us a glimpse of a post apocalyptic future and how we got there..tons of great DCU cameos and Pacheco's art is amazing..fun intriguing stuff...excellent dense read too with lots of cool easter eggs...9/10
Teen Titans 40: this title has really got me hooked since OYL..Johns is hitting us with tons of cool new characters and concepts and the action is fast and fun. Loved the various fake outs and reveal of the traitor as well as the return on the last page...fun stuff...9/10
Punisher 40: another classic issue as Castle takes on the russians in the mountains of Afghanistan..nuff said...10/10
Forgot Stormwatch dammit...gotta go back and get a copy this week.

Wait, that was the end of the arc? Disappointing, but it's Batman, and next issue is the Joker. If I dropped Batman I'd have to quit comics. Morrison can do better, and I liked the story up until that rushed ending.

That's what I suspected. I really enjoyed the Luna Brothers' work on that Spider-Woman mini. Thanks Diddy (and Amazon.ca should thank you too!

No, the Jocker is Morrison/Kubert next arc, not the next arc on Batman like in "next issue".
The Next arc on Batman is Ostrander/Mandrake
The Joker will be in February.
After the 4 parts Ostrander/Mandrake

How can the current arc already be acclaimed? What happened to sticking around for more than one story before taking a break?

I'm sorry ... I used "arc" improperly. I'm not attuned to the creator-team schedules. I meant that I would likely not be back for the next Morrison-Kubert story blob.

My books...
BATMAN #658 – Same opinion as most of you. A big shrug. Sudden end to an odd little arc. This Bat-kid idea was stinky. 6/10 (nice art)
DMZ #13 (MR) – Haven’t read this yet.
TEEN TITANS #40 – I was close to dropping this book, but this issue wasn’t bad. Miss Martian is kinda cool. Ravage is growing on me and Kid Devil is a great character. I did, however, roll my eyes at that last page. Did we need to see him again? Just because he currently has a TV show on… oh, that show’s not about him? Oops. Still not a huge fan of the art, but it seemed better this issue. 7/10
Y THE LAST MAN #51 (MR) – Solid, dependable and enjoyable as usual. I didn’t have much of a reaction to the reveal, certainly not as much as I thought I would have. The fight scene was incredibly well done. I’m sad this book is almost history. 8/10
AMAZING SPIDER-GIRL #2 – Good fun. Loved the cover. Love the design of the villain. 8/10
CIVIL WAR YOUNG AVENGERS & RUNAWAYS #4 (OF 4) – Flipped through. Looks okay. I’m glad this mini is over. The whole was much less than the sum of the parts.
DOCTOR STRANGE OATH #2 (OF 5) – We have a winnah! This was superb. Better than great characterizations. Stellar art. Love it, love it, love it. 10/10
ETERNALS #5 (OF 7) – Flipped through. Looks okay. Well, the art looks great, the story looks okay.
