Could some kind soul please tell me if this comic is worth reading? I like the idea, and the covers make it look like it'd be fun....but is it? What's it like? Many thanks in advance.

I would love to help but I haven't read it. I was interested in the answers myself.

That's cute. He thought people here actually read comics.

I was underwhelmed by Countdown to Adventure, so I skipped it.

I read the 8 issue mini a couple years ago by Starlin & Milgrom, but not this.

Sorry, I missed the question when you first asked. It fits within Jim Starlin's Cosmic Theocracy universe. I love his use of characters. He uses Comet (a reincarnated Captain Comet, younger, brasher but with all of CC's memories), Adam Strange, Bizarro, Starman (Prince Gavyn). Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Animal Man and Starfire are not part of this story. The main villain is Synnar. Oh, and the Weird is back.
I have really enjoyed this. I would like to see them explore the Comet character more deeply.
