Real answers: Fables Ultimate Spider-Man Brand New Day (aka post Mephisto story Spidey) Brubaker's Cap Iron Man: Extremis
Until the unsatisfying (for me) ending, Y the Last Man would have been on that list.

Oh, and All-Star Superman! Take Extremis off and put that in its place. All-Star Supes was one of the best things I've read.

Books:
Promethea Tom Strong Captain America Green Lantern Criminal The Ultimates Daredevil Sleeper All-Star Superman Dini's Detective
Few individual stories. I'll have to think about that.

Like Jeff, I can't do stories off the top of my head, but I can do series.
Fell Planetary All-Star Superman Tom Strong Bendis/Maleev Daredevil Ultimate Spider-Man Ultimates Vol. 1&2 Morrison's New X-Men Umbrella Academy 1&2 Brubaker's Captain America Runaways vol. 1 Y the Last Man Alias
Call that a top 15 in no particular order.

Tom Strong was good too. For some reason I thought it was late 90s. PAD's Supergirl. I'm the only person on earth who liked it. I think his Linda Danvers was one of the greatest characters in recent memory. And Runaways. This is why I should wait until other people post and remind me of what's out there before I respond.

Edited to make it a top 20 in no particular order.

Brubaker's Captain America would probably be #1 off of the top of my head, as it was the one book at a certain point I remember raving the most about... I enjoyed some dopey stuff that probably wouldn't make "classics" lists elsewhere.. Wheedon & Cassady's first X-Men arc, Millar & JRJR's Wolverine.
I've enjoyed a surprisingly large amount of DC stuff this decade too.. Some stuff I never ever thought I'd say that about! Booster Gold, for instance.

I'd put Brubaker's Cap up there if it was about 10 or 15 issues.
The latest issue of Cap Reborn is what he's had in mind for 50 issues. Too much filler to get there.
