This poll was just begging to be done!

Obviously, we could all come up with more examples of Krazy Kirby Headgear if we so desired. I believe that IMWAN only allows for ten polling options, though (At least, that was the case the last time I tried to do a poll.), so I had to choose. I'm sure that I wouldn't have come up with them all, in any case.

I was actually debating whether OMAC's mohawk constitutes "headgear." I haven't read the series, but I assume that it's a natural mohawk, rather than an artifical one. If so, then I don't think that it really counts as "headgear." If I'm wrong, then - hey, sorry. That's why I included the "other" option!

Okay, now that my vote is in, I'll look at who else is on there:

Loki - I used to think he looked goofy, but I was wrong. Loki's horns are great. Seeing them in motion during the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance cutscenes was excellent. Great design.

Kang - AWESOME villain, trumped in the Super Mastermind Bad Guy game maybe only by Doom & Magneto. LOVE his wacky face mask thing. Just a fantastic design all around. Jack Kirby was a freakin' genius.

Ant-Man - Honestly, I think his helmet was pretty cool.

Other: Makari and Thena of the Eternals both had wacky-but-cool Kirby headgear. But then, I'm a big Eternals fan.

Ant-Man 'cos it's the only headpiece that looks functional. I can't even begin to imagine the mindsets that would have designed Kirby's other headpieces for themselves, looked in the mirror and thought, "Perfect!" Magneto thinks to himself, "Hmm, how can I best evoke my status as the most powerful mutant on Earth? Wait, I know! I'll squeeze my head into a Pez dispenser!"

Hey, are you gonna tell Magneto he's wearing a pez dispenser? Hmmmm?

I voted for Kang! He looks much more menacing in his...uh...fish bowl!

Ant-Man. I've been fascinated by that damned helmet since I was a wee lad. I still am fascinated by it, let's face the facts!

I think that Attuma - Atlantean bad-boy and rival of Namor - should get an honourable mention in the 'other' category. How he could swim with that thing on his head is beyond me. It's the Melbourne Cup (overrated horse race) here today, and some of the hats the ladies are wearing are pretty weird and elaborate. But they're still not Kirby-level weird.
