The Clash set for 'London Calling' re-release
Seminal album to be reissued in December

The Clash have announced that they are re-releasing their classic album 'London Calling'.

Hitting shelves on December 14 in the UK (December 29 in the US), the '30th Anniversary Legacy Edition' comes five years after the '25th Anniversary Edition' of the album was released.

Full details on how the releases will differ are yet to be confirmed, but a CD/DVD package is expected.

On the surface...this does NOT sound like something Joe would have approved of. Let's see.

Actually, it was always a single CD set. The second disc on the 25th Anniversary edition made a better coaster than it did a listen. A DVD with a concert from the era would be nice. They WERE a helluva live band,

Slightly OT: in trying to find out more about this release, I read about plans for a Big Audio Dynamite reissue program scheduled to begin early next year.
