Yeah! Finally, a US release of the kick-ass Rockpalast show from Lorely, Germany in 1981. Typical of the time it has a lot of those horizontal lines from the cameras due to the high sonic volume, but what can you do? I doubt they were able to get that out, but this is a great show and great news.
The morons call "Desaster" a unique track-no, that's "Angel Of Death" and disaster is misspelled badly anyway-I correcetd the title in the listing of the tracks.

Thin Lizzy, led by the inimitable Phil Lynott, were one of the greatest rock bands ever to come out of Ireland. This concert from Loreley, Germany in 1981 was filmed for the German TV series Rockpalast. The set draws tracks from across Thin Lizzy's career and alongside the hits includes 'Hollywood', from the as then not yet released 'Renegade', 'Desaster', a track unique to this release, and 'Memory Pain' which never made it onto any of their albums. Always a great live band, this DVD captures Thin Lizzy at their very best.

On a recommendation in one of the rooms here I picked up last year's Live & Dangerous dvd. Though over the years I'd heard the odd Lizzy tune here and there on the radio, it was the first Lizzy purchase I ever made. Effin awesome. At the same time I was reading a three part article on Lizzy in Classic Rock mag from a few years ago. Fascinating and very tragic story.

This Lizzy DVD will be out Nov. 10 as it was pushed back a week. It is only $8.93 at Tower.com-I just pre-ordered it. What a price!
