Second worst Superman eyebrows ever, after McGuinnessesses's.

Is that a razor fade above Superman's sideburns?

You're right. That isn't my dad's Superman. That's awful.

I've never liked McGuinesses' version of the DC classic heroes, but I'm glad that Warner is trying out different artist's styles. Happy for the McGuinness fans mostly.

I wish the Perez toon hadn't fallen through.

It looks decent enough, though McGuinness' style looks odd without the heavier line weights. Not really all that excited about yet another Batman or Superman film. I understand it from a marketing standpoint, but there's a ton of stuff I'd like them to get to before going back to that well.

So what's the "sneak peak" going to be?

Wiki has the following listed as future releases:

Quote:
DC Showcase Showcase will be a series of short-films. The first one announced is to be based on Jonah Hex. It is unknown as to how these shorts will be released.

Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths Little is known about this project, besides that it is being written by Dwayne McDuffie.

Batman projects Warner Bros. Animation plans for multiple Batman-related projects.

Then they list the sales results on each DVD, and have Crisis listed as the next release (but then it's a Wiki)

I don't mind the designs, but I do prefer the Timm stuff better. This looks good though... can't wait to hear the classic (well, I call them classic) voices again.

I think it has already been solicited as including the sneak peak of Crisis on Two Earths.

Eh, I've seen worse.

If they go with Sekowsky's art for the Crisis movie, I'll eat a gun.

Really excited for this! Love the cast, and love the McGuinness version of the DCU heroes.

I just want to see an animated Superman/Captain Marvel rematch... so I'm wanting to see this.

IAWTP.

McGuinness is one of the few artists to make DCU's cast of characters actually look modern. You want to appeal to kids today? I think he's the kind of artist that could do it.

I agree. McGuinness' art isn't my thing, but it was a clean, fun style that didn't degrade the characters. It wasn't my Superman, but I could see it being someone's Superman.

While i'm not a proponent of mimicking the manga style of art, paying attention to what kids like and go for could definitely help sell these books to today's youth. Superman has to be cool to a kid into Tri-Gun or whatever.

This was interesting.
The animation was on par with the rest of the Movies DC's done so far. The look was ok, not totally McGuinness' style, but close enough, especially if you are a fan.
Liked the voices.
Things I didn't care for, were basically the same things I didn't care for in the original comics. (there was some contrived writing, Characters acting, well, out of character, Luthor as President (That whole era should be dropped from The DCU's history), Hiro and the Giant Composite Robot. It was goofy fun, but really kinda lame, etc)
It was short. Maybe seemed a bit too short. They really could do well to start bumping these things to 90 mins.
Not bad overall, I'd give it a good solid B.

Looks like Power Girl's gonna be there a lot. And I see they got Giganta back in her jungle girl attire... I wonder if that's Black Manta or Devil Ray...
