Apparently Neil isn't done releasing material this year.

A live acoustic album of songs from Harvest Moon is supposed to come out in November.

This has been pushed back to December 8th. — Linda

The (rather nice) artwork would seem to indicate that a hi-rez PCM Stereo DVD isn't included with this CD, surprising for an Archives-branded release...Then again, nothing's really surprising where Mr. Young is concerned!

I'm sure it will be on DVD-A or even Blue Ray.

I am very surprised the 1st few Neil Young Solo Re-Issues are not on DVD-A or Blue Ray yet.

Sure is hard to work out what is going on with Neil Young.

I am still holding off getting the Archives set as the price for them continues to drop here in Australia.

A little off track here but I have been really in Neil lately since I box the DVD Archives set. Borders had a 40% DVD box coupon and knocked off a cool $100.00 for it! At first they hee-hawed about it (saying it was for DVD movies sets only) but stressed that it had movies as well (and some great music as well) :}

Sweet!

"what happened to numbers 5 -11?"

I wonder if it's now supposed to be like this:

1 Canterbury House (even though this was noted as NYA 0)
2-5 Neil Young through Harvest
6-9 On The Beach , AS&B, Hawks & Doves, Re-Ac-Tor
10-11 Massey and Fillmore
12 Dreamin' Man

oh to live on Sugar Mountain . . . :)

I don't think it is as above.

Neil is issuing two different Archives sets: The Performance series and the Official Release series.

Releases are as follows:

Archives Performance Series:

Disc 0: Canterbury House
Disc 1: Not yet released but I assume it should be Riverboat (Available with the Archives)
Disc 2: Fillmore
Disc 3: Massey Hall

Archives Official Release Series:

Disc 1: Neil Young
Disc 2: Everybody Know This Is Nowhere
Disc 3: After The Goldrush
Disc 4: Harvest

TIME FADES AWAY SHOULD BE DISC 5 OF THE OFFICIAL RELEASE SERIES.

DREAMIN' MAN is part of the Performance series.

Not exactly.

On The Beach , AS&B, Hawks & Doves, Re-Ac-Tor were also issued (or re-issued as it were) under the NYA brand. In this case they were sub-categorized under the "Digital MASTERPIECE Series." They are HDCD, all cover artwork in-tact, the booklets are six panel fold outs replicating the original paper protective sleeves and the "up-side" of the discs replicate the original lp labels.

The NYA emblem doesn't apper on the "spines" but it is on the back covers along with the Digital MASTERPIECE Series moniker. Don't forget, Neil's been working on the NYA for at least 10 years. When he originally announced it in the late 90's, he cited it as a 37 disc release. What we've seen recently is exactly that --- "what we've seen recently."

Neil is the Chuck Norris of rock and roll. And, that's cool. #*!@ 'in cool.

err, sorry for the hyperbole (that might be a polite word for the above). It's (relatively) early on a Saturday morning. I'd like to think that's just the coffee talking. BTW, happy labor day. What better artist to celebrate this weekend with than Neil Young? (or Seger, or Springsteen, or Earle, or oh well ... go play some rock and roll).

:)

You may be right. But I have a feeling that the above will be re-released again under the Archives Official Releases!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So has Neil struck again? Listings at Amazon/BN.com/the usual suspects seem to indicate this is no longer on the schedule for November 3. And why am I not surprised?

I am shocked -- SHOCKED -- that an announced Neil Young album is not being released as promised.

Gosh, has this ever happened before with Neil?
