Apparently this just came out, but I found the cover artwork so amusing I wanted to post it here:

Image

1. To Defy the Laws of Tradition
2. John the Fisherman
3. Too Many Puppies
4. Jerry Was a Race Car Driver
5. Those Damned Blue-Collar Tweekers
6. Tommy the Cat
7. My Name Is Mud
8. Mr. Krinkle
9. DMV
10. Over the Electric Grapevine
11. Wynona's Big Brown Beaver
12. Southbound Pachyderm
13. Over the Falls
14. Shake Hands with Beef
15. Coattails of a Dead Man
16. Mary the Ice Cube

"Classic Primus songs repackaged for your listening convienience and our financial benefit." :lmao2:

You have to love a band who has a sense of humor about their first compilation. Never bought a Primus CD before...maybe I should look into this one.

I've seen Primus live 7 times (even saw them open for Fishbone in '91 and headline Lolapalooza in '93) but I'm skipping this tour. Too much jam-band crap now, but they ruled my college years in the 90s. Hard to believe they had 2 Top 10 albums!
Les Claypool is the most insane bass player on the planet and his lyrics are so wonderfully stupid.
My band had wonderfully stupid songs too that I wrote like Talking To The Smurfs, Porcupines In Paris and Larry Hagman (Man Of The West) so I can relate.
This is a good comp and the Best Buy version features a cool 4 song DVD from Woodstock '94. And it's only 7.99!
By the way, like a single of Velveeta cheese, the cover peels off and reveals nothing but...cheese. So, the cover you pictured here only lasts until you open it. At least mine did.
Anyway, if you're curious, go for it. The price is great and the musicianship is top-notch. You'll have to get used to the vocals/lyrics but you'll be glad you did!

I picked up a copy of this at Best Buy, had to get the bonus disc and the great price. I veeeery carefully opened the shrinkwrap and managed to keep it intact. Very clever packaging, too good to throw away.

You're a better man than I. Such a cool cover and it never dawned on me it was like a slice of cheese!
It's still in my car somewhere but probably not saveable. Damn Primus!

Don't worry about it...I'm sure they'll reproduce that artwork for the inevitable "Deluxe Edition" that will either come out a few months from now or a few years from now.

I just got this from BMG music service and to my surprise, the shrinkwrap artwork was reproduced as the cover artwork in the booklet. The outer shrinkwrap was just plain old clear shrinkwrap. And it's in a nice jewel case, though I think the retail version was as well.

Is there any graphic representation of cheese to be found in this alternate package?
