This was... a great issue. Top to bottom. Pak is back and with him his characterization of Bruce/Hulk. (Specifically, Bruce and the Hulk are depicted as the same person, just with different behaviour traits. When Banner tricks Reed Richards into taking Banner to the Hulk's old Sakaar armor, Banner says he's come for "his things.") The art was very good, also. The issue really depicted Banner as being nearly as smart or as smart as Reed Richards, which really hasn't been done before that I've seen. Usually, Banner is depicted as being somewhat less smart than Reed or as a specialist in only one field. And the relationship changing between Skaar and Banner/Hulk is also quite interesting and I'm actually looking forward to seeing how it plays out. Thumbed for smaller monitors. ~Screechy

The whole renumbering shuttling people between titles without explicitly saying what each focus would be. It made it too hard to figure out what you should be buying months in advance. All it did was make me drop the books too.

Well, I dropped them because I just couldn't take Loeb's writing anymore, no matter how good the art was.

I got tired of the 14 issues and we still aren't any closer to knowing who Red Hulk is.
I thought they promoted 600 as the big reveal. Maybe I read the issue wrong, but I missed it if it was there.

Talbot makes sense. They definitely dropped hints to that effect in one issue.

Betty could be a surprise reveal though, as she was last seen infected with the Abomination's blood.

I thought they promoted 600 as the big reveal. Maybe I read the issue wrong, but I missed it if it was there. This and the move to $3.99 made me drop the title. Plus now we have: Hulk Red Hulk Son of Hulk She-Hulk Savage She-Hulk Red She-Hulk Ugggh. Way to dilute the brand. DC has generational heores but those took decades to build. It's annoying that Marvel is trying to create "families" in all their titles no too.

She's been dead too long not to be alive again soon.
Only in comics does that sentence make sense.

This was really, really good. I agree.
And for those of you who dropped something in frustration or dilution of brand reasons, my recipe has been working well: Red Hulk, and now the main Hulk title. Not Skaar, and no Herc.
And now that we're past 600, the Red Hulk title is really focusing on who he is. It's back to fun mystery. Someone named Domino spots him (sees him change), and they have to start a manhunt for her to snuff her out. Rulk inlists Deadpool, Punisher, Elektra, Crimson Dynamo, et al to find her.
And it looks like Juggernaut is coming up in the Incredible Hulk title -- so stay with it.
I loved the reference to Tales of Astonish 60. That's my favorite comics story arc of all time, and little touches like that convey to my that Pak likes it, too.

Who is Rulk working with? Where does he get money to hire those poeple, and why would they work for him?

At this point, when Rulk's secrets are finally revealed, it's going to be a let-down... no matter who or what he is and who or what he works for. It won't be worth the extended hype and suspense they've attempted to maintain. I had my guesses that he's really the character Stryker (a character I've not cared for ever since he was shoe-horned into Hulk continuity).
